Ring offers monthly and annual subscription billing. Check the selected plan’s renewal and cancellation terms. But before subscribing, two things matter most: Ring Pro at $19.99/month includes professional monitoring for an eligible, enrolled Ring Alarm — the cheaper plans are cameras only. And individual integrations have their own device and plan requirements. This page covers what to verify before committing.
Price the selected hardware and service, identify the functions you need and check the renewal terms. We do not have comparative monitoring or integration tests that establish Ring as the strongest option for a particular household.

The current plan table distinguishes Solo, Multi and Pro. Solo and Multi provide camera features; professional alarm monitoring requires eligible Alarm hardware, enrollment and the appropriate service.

The current monthly prices are Solo $4.99, Multi $9.99 and Pro $19.99. Annual billing is $49.99, $99.99 and $199.99 respectively. Confirm the renewal amount and eligibility in your account; legacy subscriptions may differ.

Confirm which plan includes alarm dispatch
Multi at $9.99/month does not include professional alarm monitoring. Pro at $19.99/month includes it for eligible, enrolled Ring Alarm systems. Confirm location availability, setup, required permits and applicable terms before relying on the service.
Verify cellular backup on your specific model
Standard Ring Alarm Base Station supports cellular backup with a compatible paid plan and available carrier coverage. A separate Ring Alarm Pro is not universally required for alarm cellular backup. Backup for the alarm is not the same as keeping cameras, a router or every internet feature online.
Assess the Amazon ecosystem dependency honestly
Check each desired integration, such as a supported voice assistant or display, against its current device and plan requirements. Do not assume every Ring feature needs an Echo device or that every Amazon feature works with your selected system.
Decide whether you need professional monitoring at all
Compare local alarm functions, remote app access and professional monitoring separately. Available features depend on hardware, subscription and account terms. Decide who can respond to alerts and what happens during power or internet loss; a rental or second home is not automatically suitable for self-monitoring.
Pricing the Multi plan when they need Pro
Price Pro if you need eligible professional alarm monitoring, and include the required Alarm hardware. Price the camera features separately if that is your only need. A lower camera-plan price is not an equivalent monitored-alarm quote.
Expecting $10/month monitoring from pre-2026 reviews
Compare the current plan page and your account’s renewal terms rather than an older review. Do not assume a legacy subscriber price is available to a new customer.
Assuming cellular backup is included
Standard Ring Alarm can use cellular backup with compatible service and carrier coverage. Ring documents up to 24 hours of base-station battery operation, depending on usage, with reduced functions after the initial period. This is not a promise that cameras or household internet remain online.
Signing for Ring’s ecosystem value without Amazon devices
List the integrations you will actually use, then check the required devices and subscriptions. Do not infer that owning Amazon devices makes Ring the best value or that not owning them removes all reasons to consider it.
