We take factual accuracy seriously. If you believe a claim on any SecurityCompassHQ page is incorrect, we want to know — and we will investigate it promptly.

Quick verdict: Submit corrections to corrections@securitycompasshq.com. We respond within 2 business days and note all confirmed corrections publicly on the affected page.

How to submit a correction

Email corrections@securitycompasshq.com with:

  • The URL of the page you believe contains an error
  • The specific claim or statement you believe is incorrect
  • A source or citation supporting your correction (e.g., a brand pricing page, FCC filing, or official press release)

We respond to all correction requests within 2 business days. If we confirm the error, we update the content and notify you.

Do you note corrections publicly? +
Yes. When we correct a factual error, we add a correction note at the bottom of the affected page noting what was changed and when. We do not silently edit errors.
Can a home security company request a correction? +
Yes — brands can submit correction requests for factual errors the same way any reader can. We investigate all correction requests using the same process. However, brands cannot request changes to editorial scores, rankings, or tone.
What is not a correction request? +
A correction applies to verifiable factual claims — pricing, specifications, dates, certification status. It does not apply to editorial judgments (scores, rankings, tone, opinions). If you disagree with an editorial judgment, contact us via our contact page.
