Start with Ring Alarm if you want to choose and install your own alarm around Ring cameras. Get a Vivint quote if you want a technician to install a specified system. Then match the sensors, camera recording and alarm-response service before comparing cost.
Ring Pro is currently $19.99/month plus applicable tax. Eligible professional alarm monitoring requires an Alarm or Alarm Pro Base Station and completed enrollment; camera ownership alone is not enough. Vivint advertises month-to-month monitoring when equipment is paid upfront, alongside separate financing options. Your written quote determines its service price and term.

- You want to place and test your own alarm sensors.
- You already use Ring cameras and want to add an alarm.
- You are willing to check subscriptions and complete monitoring enrollment separately.
Vivint: get an installed-system quote
- You want a technician to handle the agreed installation.
- You want specified locks, cameras or other compatible controls included in one installation plan.
- You will compare the full service and equipment agreements before accepting.
Use one requirements list for both offers: entry sensors, camera placement and recording, monitoring response, installation work and exact smart-home controls. A lower monthly figure is not a complete comparison if one setup leaves out a job you need.

- Check your monitoring service term, notice requirements and any cancellation charges; financed equipment has a separate agreement.

- Canceling service does not by itself settle a separate equipment agreement.
